Born in London in 1956, Ann trained at Edinburgh College of Art (ECA), graduating in the summer of 1982 and exhibits widely throughout the UK, including at the Portland Gallery and the Thackary Gallery in London and the Scottish Gallery in Edinburgh. She has shown in mixed exhibitions at Fraser Gallery St Andrews since 2015.
