Ann Oram, RSW England, 1956-Present

Born in London in 1956, Ann trained at Edinburgh College of Art (ECA), graduating in the summer of 1982. After her post-graduate year and Andrew Grant Scholarship to France and Italy, Ann returned to ECA to lecture, and in 1986 was elected to the Royal Scottish Society of Painters in Watercolour (RSW).

Ann has spent many years living and working abroad and the inspiration she gets from her travels helps to keep her work fresh and vibrant. During the 1980s, she spent many years living in southern Spain and, in 2007, Ann returned from a long spell in Vienna to live in Fife.   Her Austrian adventure also allowed her to work in Switzerland, the Czech Republic, Italy and Hungary.   When not painting full-time, Ann runs arts courses with her husband.

Ann exhibits widely throughout the UK, including at the Portland Gallery and the Thackary Gallery in London and the Scottish Gallery in Edinburgh.   She has shown in mixed exhibitions at Fraser Gallery St Andrews since 2015.

She has been commissioned by The Royal Bank of Scotland and Standard Life for works which hang in their Edinburgh offices and her work is included in many private and corporate collections throughout the world.
